GN Store Nord provides telecommunications equipment and instruments for the hearing impaired. It operates two divisions, GN Netcom (2010 Rev: 38%) and GN ReSound (62%). GN Netcom develops and supplies headsets for office and mobile use, branded as Jabra. In 2011 GN Netcom entered into a distribution agreement with Logitech, gaining further exposure to North American markets. GN ReSound is the world’s fourth largest manufacturer (12% global market share) of hearing aids and diagnostic audiologic equipment, branded as ReSound, Beltone, Interton and Otometrics. GN has strong global presence with sales dominated by Europe (2010 Rev: 39%) and North America (42%). 2010 EBITA (DKK 2.595m) was heavily influenced by the proceeds from litigation against TPSA (~DKK 2.100m), with average earnings of DKK 158m (2006-2009). GN’s main growth drivers are the market for Unified Communications, technological innovations and strategic partnerships. Risks to its value chain include macroeconomic developments (mainly GN Netcom’s products), and competitor’s technological advancements.
