Zurich, a leading writer of program business in the United States, is
proud to announce five winners of its Programs unit Spirit of Excellence
award. The award was created in 2008 and is given to program
administrators (PAs) who work directly with the Zurich North America
Commercial’s Programs business unit and have demonstrated exemplary
performance during the previous year.
Zurich congratulates the following 2009 Spirit of Excellence award
honorees that includes two repeat winners:
HUB International Transportation Insurance Services, Inc. – Specialty
Auto program (2008 and 2009 recipient)
Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) – Crop program (2008 and
2009 recipient)
HUB International Midwest Limited – Veterinarian Professional
Liability program
Colonial General Insurance Agency, Inc. – Lawyers’ Professional
Liability program
All Risks Limited – Workers’ Compensation program
“We are pleased to recognize our program administrators who had an
excellent year from both Zurich’s and the PA’s perspective,” said Craig
Fundum, president of Programs & Direct Markets for Zurich North America
Commercial. “We set high expectations for our PAs, and when they exceed
these expectations, it represents their commitment to our customers and
to Zurich.”
PAs working with Zurich specialize in writing insurance policies for
niche businesses. Zurich currently works with more than 40 PAs across
the U.S.
In order to qualify for a Spirit of Excellence Award, PAs had to meet
the following criteria:
Met or exceeded their gross written premium (GWP) plan
Exceeded profit objectives
Performed effectively in the areas of underwriting and finance
Executed effectively on annual action plans
Fundum continued, “Zurich is proud to present the Spirit of Excellence
award to this year’s five qualified candidates. We were especially
excited that two of our PAs are repeat honorees. We value the work all
of our PAs do on behalf of Zurich and will continue annually to honor
program administrators that meet or exceed our criteria with the Spirit
of Excellence award.”
