ROME -(Dow Jones)- Italy's largest private broadcaster Mediaset SpA (MS.MI) said Tuesday it has sold its entire stake in Dutch television production company Endemol NV.
Endemol, the creator of popular shows like "Big Brother," in January agreed with most of its creditors to restructure debts of more than EUR2 billion.
Mediaset, which owned a third of the company in a consortium with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) and Cyrte Investments BV, was left with 6% of Endemol's senior debt after the restructuring deal.
Mediaset didn't release details on the sale price. According to Italian daily Il Sole 24-Ore, the 6% stake was sold to one of the funds that now control Endemol for about EUR72 million.
