LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Petrofac Ltd (PFC.LN), said Tuesday that Petrofac Facilities Management Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a $220 million contract by PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of PETRONAS, the Malaysian national oil company, for the refurbishment of the Bekok-C platform, located in Block PM9 in the south-eastern part of the Malay basin.
MAIN FACTS:
-The project will be executed on an engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning or EPCIC alliance basis and is valued at $220 million.
-Under the terms of the refurbishment project Petrofac will provide EPCIC services to the platform with the overall project expected to be completed in around 15 months.
-Petrofac Ltd shares at 0808 GMT up 29 pence, or 1.9%, at GBP15.49, valuing the company at GBP5.26 billion.
