FRANKFURT -(Dow Jones)- The future Chief Executive of European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co. NV (EAD.FR), Tom Enders, said he wants to reduce the influence of government shareholders on the company, German tabloid newspaper Bild am Sonntag reports Sunday.
Enders said "I want to work on getting a normal shareholder structure in which state shareholders don't play a role," according to the report.
The governments of France and Germany have been securing a balanced shareholder structure at EADS for years. Two blocks, one with the French government and Lagardere SCA (MMB.FR), and another one lead by Germany's Daimler AG (DAI.XE), each hold about 22% in the aircraft maker.
