U.K. oil major Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSA) has confirmed plans to invest $1.6 billion for the development of a liquefied natural gas import and regassification terminal in the Philippines, the U.K. Foreign Office Said Thursday in a statement.
Also, Unilever NV (UN) announced it will increase its investment and expand manufacturing facilities in the Philippines.
The statements came as the Filipino president, Benigno Aquino, visited the U.K. this week en route to the U.S.
