Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) Wednesday said operations at its oil refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, were not materially impacted by recent production-unit upsets.
The refinery reported a brief emissions event to Texas environmental regulators Tuesday that involved a hydrocracker unit. Company spokesman Bill Day Wednesday said the unit was back at planned rates.
Then on Wednesday, emissions due to problems at a Scot tail gas unit were reported to regulators. Mr. Day didn't comment on the status of the Scot unit, an environmental unit that services sulfur recovery units, but did say the event also had no material impact on production.
The Port Arthur refinery's total throughput capacity is rated at 310,000 barrels a day.
