Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) on Monday said a key gasoline-producing fluid catalytic cracking unit at its oil refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, has been operating at slightly reduced rates since Friday night, when its blowers tripped off-line.
The event was reported to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality on Friday.
Company spokesman Bill Day didn't comment on when operations would return to normal.
Separately, Mr. Day said a filing to the TCEQ regarding a small leak in an LPG line at its Corpus Christi, Texas, refinery also had no material impact on production.
