MILAN--Italian lender UniCredit SpA (UCG.MI) will soon unveil a structural reorganization that will see country divisions be more autonomous, Italian daily MF reports Wednesday.
According to the paper, the plan--which was originally mentioned Monday by the bank's Chief Executive Federico Ghizzoni--should be examined by the board in the second week of July.
The bank would give more independence to country managers, who would become responsible for results in each region, MF reports. All country managers would report directly to the chief executive, the paper adds.
