MILAN--Italian defense and aerospace group Finmeccanica SpA (FNC.MI) said Tuesday its SELEX Galileo unit has won a contract worth 140 million euros ($172.1 million) from Northrop Grumman Corp. (NOC), a contractor in a surveillance program for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
MAIN FACTS:
-The program will set up the Alliance Ground Surveillance system.
-The value of the contract obtained by SELEX Galileo represents 12% of Northrop's overall contract with NATO.
-Finmeccanica announced the contract as it participated in the Farnborough International Air Show in England.
