Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) has hired Li Cui as its senior China economist based in Hong Kong, according to a memo seen by the Wall Street Journal.
Ms. Li was previously at Royal Bank of Scotland PLC (RBS), where she led the coverage of Chinese macroeconomics. She joins Goldman Sachs as a managing director, with a focus on the bank's regional and global clients. She joins China economist Yu Song, who is based in Beijing and focuses on Goldman Sachs's domestic franchise.
Ms. Li also worked at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the International Monetary Fund previously.
