HOUSTON--Large oil producer Occidental Petroleum (OXY) has hired former Goldman Sachs (GS) banker Cynthia Walker as Chief Financial Officer and executive vice president.
Ms. Walker, 35, was at the investment bank for 12 years, most recently as a managing director. She has been a senior member of the bank's Global Natural Resources Group in Houston.
James Lienert, who served as Occidental's CFO for two years, will remain at the company as the executive vice president for business support.
Occidental, based in Los Angeles, is the fourth largest U.S. oil and gas company on a market capitalization basis.
