LONDON--Unilever PLC (UL), the consumer goods firm which houses the Dove, Hellmans and Knorr brands among its portfolio said Tuesday it has priced a 1 billion dollar bond on the U.S. market which it will use for general corporate purposes.
MAIN FACTS:
-Double-tranche bond comprises $450 million 0.45% Fixed Rate Notes due July 30, 2015 and $550 million 0.85%Fixed Rate Notes due Aug. 2, 2017.
-Anticipated closing date of the offering is Aug. 2.
-Shares closed in London Monday at 2274 pence valuing the company at 29.19 billion pounds.
