Nordea, which is now officially headquartered in Finland, is a bank with deep Nordic roots going back 200 years. Nordea is the largest Swedish bank by asset size and by customer base served, both in the Nordics and the Baltic region. As of Jan. 2, 2017, its subsidiaries in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway were converted into bank branches of the Swedish parent company to achieve a simpler legal and operational structure.
